Dare County, North Carolina. 

Down East, up hard against the Atlantic ocean among the hardwood swamps beneath the big blue sky. It’s 1929 and the rye liquor everyone makes back in these marshes is against the law.

Darlin’ Corey is a first-person game told (like the American folk song of the same name) from the point of view of a nameless protagonist.

• Materials: This document, printed out double sided (flip on short edge), with Event and Situation slips cut out. You’ll also need some way to play the song Darlin’ Corey
• Tone: Dark and feverish
• Content warnings: Murder, swamps, murder swamps, sex and sexism, race and racism
